FAQ
Frequently asked questions about museum passes
The key answers before you book. You'll find more on individual pass pages.
Is a museum pass worth it?+
If you plan to visit several museums, usually yes: from the second or third entry onward, the pass is typically cheaper than individual tickets, plus you save time queuing. Each pass page shows exactly when it pays off.
Do I still need to book museum time slots?+
Yes, at popular sites: the Louvre, the Uffizi or the Accademia require a free timed slot even with a pass. The details are on each pass's own page.
How do I receive my pass?+
You book most passes through our partners Tiqets or GetYourGuide and receive an instant confirmation with your voucher by email. Depending on the pass, you either show the QR code directly or exchange it on site for the physical card. A few passes, such as the Roma Pass, are sold only by the official provider (romapass.it) - we link there directly.
When does the validity period start?+
For most passes, from the first use, not from purchase. The validity period (typically 48 hours or 3 days) then runs continuously, including overnight.
Are children cheaper?+
Nearly everywhere there are child or youth rates, and sometimes free entry for young children. Age limits vary by city, exact prices are shown at booking.
